Children’s Activities Week is a national event celebrating the best of the industry and everything that is great about children’s activities. Thousands of people come together all over the country to take part in fun activities to help raise awareness and fundraise to help disabled children and their families. This inclusive celebration is the perfect opportunity to celebrate and recognise all the positive benefits that clubs, classes, and activities bring to the lives of children and their parents and guardians – helping kids stay healthy and happy! Since its inception, Children’s Activities Week has raised over £175,000 and helped provide life-changing support for disabled children all over the UK through the charity, Caudwell Children.

Morton Michel have been working with children’s activity providers for many years and is delighted to sponsor such an incredible initiative, supporting the vital work of Caudwell Children, and highlighting the children’s activities sector. The theme for this year’s Children’s Activities Week was ‘Kindness’ and if the pandemic taught us anything, it is the true value in being kind. Helping our neighbours, supporting our front-line workers, or just checking in on family and friends. When the virus cut us off from each other, it only served to bring us closer.

In the Morton Michel office, we had a fantastic week of fun and fundraising with a variety of different events including a ‘Dress up in your favourite sports activity’ day, ‘Be Kind to Yourself’ yoga sessions, a ‘Sweets Galore’ tuck shop and a team scavenger hunt! On Day 6, the team and our beloved Morton the Bear attended the CAW 2022 Showcase Event at the Caudwell International Children’s Centre to celebrate the industry and mark the end of a truly magical week.

We would like to thank everyone who got involved and donated to this fantastic cause. We’re thrilled to announce that the grand total we’ve raised for this year’s Children’s Activities Week is an incredible £6,750!

Every act of kindness and every penny raised means that thousands of disabled children and their families across the UK will now be able to access vital support from Caudwell Children, helping to transform their lives. Plus, as a founding member of the Children’s Activities Association, we’ll be able to continue their important work to improve and grow the children’s activities sector for everyone – parents, children, and activity providers alike.
