After a successful launch in London earlier this year, we’re very excited to announce that the Famly Sessions will be making their return at the Childcare Expo Manchester next week. The sessions will be held upstairs above the main hall, in the Locomotive Suite from 1-3pm on Friday June 14th. Sign up for your free ticket here!

Last time, attendees got the chance to hear from early years expert and key advisor on the 2012 review of the EYFS, Nancy Stewart, who discussed ‘counting what counts’ when it comes to early years assessment. Cornwall based nursery group, Naturally Learning also discussed their unique ‘forest-school’ approach to learning. In case you missed out, you can watch Nancy’s talk here.

This time, visitors will get the chance to hear from Dr. Sue Allingham and Richard Knight from the Early Years Alliance! Sue will be discussing the true purpose of next steps in the EYFS and why these should be used to guide teaching practice, rather than simply as a checklist for children to adhere to, and Richard will be discussing the EY Alliance’s ‘learning through play’ approach.

You can read more about the event and book your spot here. Make sure to get in quick though as there are only 60 seats and tickets are going fast!

In addition to the Famly Sessions, Famly will also be exhibiting at Childcare Expo on June 14th – 15th on Stand C40 – we look forward to meeting you there!
