EYN Partnership Returning for Round Three of Childcare Expo 2018

Events make us very happy campers here at the Early Years Nutrition Partnership. What could be better than the chance to showcase what we do in a memorable and expressive way; meet others passionate about the same things; and have a whole lot of fun in the process?
Well, not much – and that’s why we tend to boomerang back to Childcare Expo. Ever since our first experience of it back in 2017, we feel fortunate to have represented the early years nutrition cause at five events around the country, and 28th-29th September will be the Midlands’ turn for 2018.
As you can see in the video below, the most recent Expo, in Manchester in June, was a real highlight for our team. Not only was the Nutrition Area introduced within the Health and Wellbeing Zone, but visitors were treated to live tutorials from Ben Faulks, also known as Mr Bloom from CBeebies, whose energetic rendition of The Healthy Eating Song certainly made a splash!
So successful was this series of firsts that we’re bringing them back for the upcoming show – and we have a feeling they may end up being even better than before…
In the Nutrition Area, we’re proud to be providing the opportunity to sow your own pea plants, add your colourful contributions to the Healthy Eating Wall, and get your thinking caps on all in the name of creativity while deciding what to call our fruit and veg characters. We should probably mention that the suggestions last time were nothing if not inventive, so the more outside-the-box, the better!
At various intervals of the Expo, the Health and Wellbeing Zone will be transformed into the stage for Ben Faulks to share his musical expertise and teach everyone who’s interested just why the ukulele is the perfect accompaniment to singing rather energetically about the wonders of good food… Yes, Healthy Eating Song, we’re looking at you!
Some of our wonderful Registered Nutrition Professionals and our much-loved mascot, the EYN Pea, will be in attendance for both days. Make sure to stop him for a selfie whenever you spot him taking a stroll!
