midlands home 3 Registration for the Coventry Childcare Expo is now open, allowing early years professionals from across the UK and beyond the opportunity to book their free tickets to attend this inspirational show packed with ideas taking place at the Ricoh Arena on the 25 and 26 September.

Childcare ExpoThis year’s Midlands event boasts a two day seminar programme that covers many of the key topics early years providers are currently facing. On the Friday sessions include toddlers eating habits, Ofsted’s Common Inspection Framework and a seminar by Jeremy Clark from Montessori Centre International that looks at the ideas behind children as leaders in their own learning.

Lorraine Petersen will be starting off the seminar programme on the Saturday morning looking at children with SEND in early years settings and how to support them. The Food Teacher, Katharine Tate, will also be taking part in the show giving practitioners information on how children’s brain development is affected by their diet and lifestyle and ideas of how to incorporate positive changes into early years settings.
Speech and language therapists from Clarity will be talking on the Saturday about ideas for developing speech, language and communications provisions while Rosa Collins will be looking at the intentions and implications of the EYPP introduced in April.

Event director Emma Barrett commented “this will be the 6th year Childcare Expo has taken place in Coventry and we are as excited as ever to be bringing to the Midlands more ideas and information for the early years community to feast on. We are particularly excited about this year’s seminar programme which we have developed to cover a wide variety of areas that practitioners can learn from to help them advance their settings and continue the fantastic work our visitors do within the childcare sector.”
