UK Nanny Awards 2020

London and across the Globe (12^th September 2020) – Nannies, Nanny Agencies, Insurance, Payroll and Community companies gathered together via Zoom across the Globe on 12^th September 2020 to celebrate excellence in an industry they are all passionate about; everything Nanny.

Due to Covid-19 UK Nanny Awards could not be held and celebrated at BAFTA so the next best thing was virtually via Zoom.

The Nanny industry and all sectors that fall within the industry have been overlooked since the global pandemic started. Now more than ever the Nanny industry deserves the Recognition, Respect and Advocacy.

With over 50 unique individuals, 2.1 thousand votes cast across globe. It is with great pleasure to announce the winners of the UK Nanny Awards 2020

The highlight of the evening was naming the 2020 UK Nanny of The Year. This year’s recipient was Tricia Dowling.

Tricia Dowling qualified as a SNNEB in 1986 and soon moved to London from Scotland to start her career as a Nanny. Tricia has had very few jobs in her career most have been 7-year stints. Her first 2 positions relocated to the USA and she accompanied both families. Tricia worked as a Nanny during 9/11 in New York and was involved in the relief effort. Tricia has been employed by lots of diverse families in her career and has risen to all the challenges that arose from them. She is also in contact with all the families she has been employed by and is indeed the Godmother to her first charge’s little boy.

As well as being a full time Nanny Tricia is also a Special Constable in The Met Police, this is a voluntary role which she has done for the past 15 years and has full police powers. Tricia has also done lots of volunteering at the children’s schools in both capacities as a Nanny and a Police Officer. Tricia has received several quality service reports in her career and received 3 separate nominations for UK Nanny of the Year. Tricia is truly honoured to be this year’s recipient of UK Nanny of the Year and looks forward to promoting the Nanny industry under the guidance of UK Nanny Ltd.
