What’s next for the early years sector?

18th May 2015

It’s been a slow start to the summer weather, but things are heating up for the early years sector this May. With the new government formed at the start of the month, all eyes have been on the ministerial line up for the department of education.

Sam Gyimah at Childcare Expo LondonEdward Timpson has now been appointed Minister for Children and Families while Sam Gyimah is “delighted to be re-appointed as Childcare and Education Minister with broader responsibilities within Department for Education” as he tweeted earlier last week.

With the adjustments within the new government, many early years professionals will be eager to find out what’s in store for the sector in the coming months and how these changes will affect them and their settings.

One great place to catch up with peers and hear from industry leads on the current issues and updates is Childcare Expo. Returning for the 6th year to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, the event for all those involved in early years will be taking place on the 25 & 26 September. With a hall packed full of dedicated early years exhibits, interactive hands-on workshops and educational seminars there is plenty to feed visitors imagination and top-up on inspiration.

Registration for Childcare Expo Midlands will be opening later this summer, to register your interest for the show email info@childcareexpo.co.uk to be contacted as soon as registration opens to book your free tickets.
