Kinder Kalm at Childcare Expo Manchester

Hi, my name is Anna Gagg and I am the founder of ‘Kinder Kalm!’ a unique baby and toddler business which offers innovative and personalized sensory sessions that embed accredited baby massage, baby yoga and toddler yoga-inspired moves into the delivery. We work with local childcare providers and also offer services to the public (currently operating in Lancashire and Yorkshire) providing sessions for local carers and their children to bond, be active and experience some magical time together.

I first found out the benefits of baby massage when attending classes with my own daughter, mixed with a love of yoga and the realization of a unique selling point, I made the leap to start up my own business. The business has gone from strength to strength having recently created our own original music to compliment our sessions and the launch of franchise opportunities across the UK.

People that know me well will know that I have a great passion for creating sensory-rich experiences for children, which help them develop and understand the world around them. Admittedly, my favourite type of sensory play is the great outdoors, but this isn’t always feasible in early years so I have been eager to facilitate some sensory play activities that essentially bring the outdoors inside! I am thrilled to have been asked to hold a seminar at the Manchester Child Expo show on ‘Sensory Play and the EYFS’ and look forward to sharing ideas with other parents and early year’s professionals.

The seminar will introduce an array of sensory play activities that you can try in your childcare setting, or at home with your children. The activities have been put together to achieve stimulation of ALL of the main senses: ‘touch, look, smell, hear’, creating a truly sensory-rich experience for the children in your care. We will also outline the way in which each activity meets all areas of the EYFS. If you want practical ideas rather than theory then this is the seminar for you!
